Service Description
Have you ever wondered what markers are looking for when they read your legal essay or hypothetical? Do you know how to find every case that has considered a section of an Act in a single search? Ever wondered if there is a shortcut to finding all law journal articles written about a case, or a section of an Act? What is the best way to structure a large assignment, and given you have limited time, what is the most efficient way to keep on top of course content and study for a law exam? Whether you are just about to start your law degree, or almost finished, if you want to succeed in law school it is essential that you have the necessary practical skills. Unfortunately, it is rare for universities to properly teach law students how to research, write, and manage your time. Frequently feedback on assignments fails to explain the path to improvement. Law lecturers seem to assume students have been taught the practical skills necessary to complete assessment tasks, yet this is rarely true. 'How to Succeed in Law School' is a two hour workshop where all the techniques and tips learnt by a lecturer in law over a career expanding a decade will be taught to you via Zoom. The workshop will cover: • Time management techniques • How to effectively and efficiently complete law readings • How to take notes that will assist in exams • How to answer a legal hypothetical problem • How to write a legal essay • A masterclass in legal research The workshop will run Saturday Feb 25th from 12 - 2pm and costs $49. Spaces are limited so book now to reserve your spot! About Dr Ben Wardle Dr Wardle is a passionate legal academic with over a decade experience lecturing law.
